Information on the processing of personal data

Administrator
The administrator of your personal data is the University of Wrocław with its registered office at pl. Uniwersytecki 1, 50-137 Wrocław, hereinafter referred to as the Administrator or UWr.
Data Protection Officer (DPO)
The Administrator has appointed a data protection officer, who can be contacted via e-mail: IOD@uwr.edu.pl or by mail to the address: pl. Uniwersytecki 1, 50-137 Wrocław.
You can contact the DPO in all matters concerning the processing of your personal data by the University of Wrocław and your exercise of your rights related to the processing of personal data.
Purposes and legal basis of processing
We will process:
1) Your personal data contained in the registration form - for the purpose of registering for the Event, for the purpose of issuing a certificate of participation in the Event and for the purposes of statistics and reporting regarding the Event;
2) Your personal data in the form of an image, obtained in connection with participation in the Event at the place of its organization and photographing and filming;
3) Your personal data in the form of an image and statements, obtained in connection with participation in the Event at the place of its organization and photographing and filming and online transmission of the Event and your statements*;
based on your consent.
Your participation in the Event at the place of its organization means consent to the processing of data indicated in paragraph 2).
Your action during the Event, consisting of introducing yourself and asking a question, taking the floor or other similar action, means consent to the processing of the data indicated in par. 3). The processing of this data may consist of photographing or recording, further sharing and dissemination.
Your personal data indicated in par. 1) will be processed for a period of 730 days from the date of the end of the Event, and the remaining personal data will be stored until you withdraw your consent to their processing. You can withdraw your consent by submitting a request to the e-mail address ESTE2025@uwr.edu.pl and IOD@uwr.edu.pl (or by filling out this form).
Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of consent before its withdrawal.
After withdrawing your consent to processing, some of your data may be processed for the period of the Administrator’s storage of reporting documentation regarding the Event, solely for the purposes of fulfilling the legal obligation incumbent on the Administrator.
Data recipients
Only authorized employees or associates of the Administrator will have access to your personal data. The recipients of your personal data may also be entities to which the Administrator commissions the performance of specific activities, which involve the need to process personal data. In order to ensure the highest possible standard of personal data protection, a personal data processing agreement will be signed with such entities.
Your data recorded during the Event may be published on the following websites: este2025.uwr.edu.pl, uwr.edu.pl, chem.uwr.edu.pl, intibs.pl, ue.wroc.pl and in other materials related to the Event: conference papers, electronic conference files, etc.
Transfer of data outside the European Economic Area (EEA)
Your data will be made available on the publicly available YouTube channel of the University of Wrocław and will be processed by Google. You can read more about data processing by Google here.
Your data in the form of an image may be published on the Administrator’s profile on the website www.facebook.com. You can read more about data processing by Facebook here.
The above means that your data may be stored on servers of the European Union and in the territory of the United States of America.
Data storage period
We will store your personal data until the task for which the personal data was collected is completed or until you withdraw your consent to processing, unless there are legally justified grounds for further processing of your data.
Rights of data subjects
Under the terms specified in the GDPR, you have the right to access your data and the right to rectify, delete, limit processing, transfer data and the right to object to further processing. If you believe that the processing of your personal data violates the law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office.
Other information:
Decisions in your case will not be made in an automated manner, and your data will not be subject to profiling.
Obligation to provide data and consequences of failure to provide data:
Providing data is voluntary.
Providing the data described in paragraph 1) of the section “Purposes and legal basis of processing” is necessary to participate in the Event and receive a certificate of participation in the Event.
If you do not want your image to be recorded, you should refrain from participating in the Event at the place of its organization.
